Today, as I’m home for the next week, I’m thankful that my parents are home and get to spend time with my sisters and me. We have always been lucky to have our parents around on days that we were sick, or whenever we had school functions. The farm is always a huge time commitment, yet there can be some flexibility at times. I’m happy that my parents were able to switch around milking times to make it to all of our important meetings, games, and trips. I know they had to sacrifice a lot of sleep time to take me to the airport the day I left for Europe. I think we are all blessed that we call the farm home and that our work is right in our backyard.
